Well the night belonged to Berta Rojas and the beauty of the National Theatre last night at the Opening of the International Guitar Festival, where this year was the 9th annual and the 1st time woman were the show.
Berta Rojas is a classical guitarist from Paraguay and has been labeled as the best classical guitarist in the world. She has performed at renowned theatres such as The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Dublin's National Concert Hall, The Lincoln Center in NY, and now Panama.
The National Theatre here in Panama was built in 1907 in the heart of the Old City, Casco Antiguo, also referred to Casco Viejo. Casco was alive and well last night as the street scene was abuzz with sidewalk cafes and restaurants getting full by 8pm and totally filled by 10pm when we left the concert.
