We took an adventure and decided to stroll through the part of Panama City that has the largest open air market on Central Avenue. Now many folks are told we as foreigners should not go here because it could be dangerous, we say BLAH to that. Central Ave was a very happening and cultural place, sure I wouldn't wear my best diamond rings and earrings walking through here, but I wouldn't do that in many US cities either. Central Ave brought out the best of the Panamanian culture that we have been looking for and the bargains were second to none. We WILL be going back here for more as it was just a very cool place to visit and hang out. Where else can you get your nails painted along the side of the road, Get your hair cut outside, buy some medicine plants (OK so it is Aloe), see Indigenous people, Shop at the American Outlet store.
