Day 68 Tuesday (Martes) - Playa Coronado
Martes is card night in Coronado. The game kicks off at 3pm and ends with last round at 8pm. The only game in town is Texas Hold em. The usual crowd gets us 8-10 players.
The Panama Man himself has not done so well yet in my time playing but heck I have plenty of time. I am waiting in the wings to gain my traction.
Panama Woman was scouring the internet last night and also watching good ole American tv on USTVNOW.COM. This website streams stations from the states. Up to date, no time delay here.

Day 67 – Monday (Lunes) – 05/12/2011 – Playa Coronado
Nice and relaxing day today. We are in the process of looking for a painter to help with a penthouse remodeling in the beach area, and got stood up this morning by our first guy. This does happen here in Panama, not unlike other places in the world. So we move onto the next guy and will meet him tomorrow at 9am on location (sounds like a big picture production - on location :)).
Tonight a small dinner party and some card playing with friends. Low key day and night but sometimes that is a blessing. For some reason the days and nights fly by down here, never suspected you could be so busy with no set times to perform certain tasks. Boy was work life getting in the way of real life.

Panama Woman gets another blog shot
Day 66 – Sunday (Domingo) – 04/12/2011 – Playa Coronado
Hi all, OK back again this time with some Maracuya or passion fruit. This fruit grows everywhere here in Panama and is a very healthy drink alternative. The fruit itself is very easy to pick and to take apart (unlike my last blog on Plantains - which are very difficult to take apart).
Follow the steps below to a delicious drink. Enjoy.

Day 65 – Saturday Sabado) – 03/12/2011 – Playa Coronado
Panama Woman here, learning to be a domestic native here in Panama. The fruit grows in such abundance here that it is a great way to eat healthy and stay fit. It takes a bit of work to gather your fruit and prepare it but the end result is absolutely delicious and as they say back home now ALL-ORGANIC. No chemicals, no preservatives, just great fruit right off the trees.
Let's prepare some Plantains through pictures, shall we?

Day 64 – Friday (Viernes) – 02/12/2011 – Playa Coronado
Hola Amigos y Amigas. Today was a shopping trip day up to the shops in Coronado. New store opened last week called El Machetazo, groceries and household and sporting goods, etc... kind of like a Super Walmart if you are from the states.
So today they had some prices listed wrong on some items we bought so we had the challenge of trying to have them understand that the price at the register was not correct and the real price was marked on the shelf. Sooooooo here we go, let's walk to show the first guy, he agreed, back to the register we go, next up 2 Managers, they walk over to the aisle, see the same price, flip over the card and changed the price right in front of my eyes (so now I am thinking, O NO, have to pay the new price but we were not about to give up so easy) BUT they took the old sticker to the cash register and rang up the price originally quoted and apologized to us. Mission accomplished!!! But here's the best part the whole process took no less than 20 minutes - YIKES. remember patience is truly a virtue here in Panama if you need something done.
And if you don't believe this just ask my friend from Scotland.

Day 63 – Thursday (Jueves) – 01/12/2011 – Playa Coronado
New month today. That is always exciting. We love new beginnings. With the new month here in Panama we are getting a beautiful mountain breeze coming across the complex we live in and the beach was nice and cool. Plenty of swimming this morning at the beach as the sun was shining bright.
OK, let's do some goofy stuff. Why did the chicken cross the road? We were not exactly sure but we did snap a picture of them scurrying back in their yard. check it out. Have you seen your chickens today?

Day 62 Wednesday (Miercoles) - Playa Coronado
Last day of another month. Steaming right into the Christmas season here in Panama. As with every other place in the world Panama has been ready for Christmas for weeks. I wonder if this is the ex-pat community influence as Christmas is just as commercialized here as it is back home.
O well, it is still a great time of year. Here in Panama though it is in the mid to high 80's. What's it like where you live?
