Day 35 – Wednesday (Miercoles) – 02/11/2011 – Playa Coronado

For those of you following the blogs, I know you have missed this.
So today we started off with our usual coffee at about 6am. Took Reese for her usual walk around the compound for business purposes. Then time for breakfast.  Simple Oatmeal with Banana's this morning.

Needed a few items at the grocery store so off we took for our walk to get a few things.  No booze was for sale today as they shut that down due to the holiday tomorrow.  Makes no sense to me as the Panamanians like to drink like the rest of the world at their holidays, but the day before they cannot buy it - who knows.

After shopping we went back home and headed for the beach today for some body surfing, don't know how to surf the real way, so body surfing in 6-7' waves was good enough for us.

Tomorrow is Independence day number one that is celebrated, 1903 from Columbia.  The compound that we live in has no other full-time residents, so it has been pretty quite all the time, but today, the folks started to come in for the weekend.  This is a beach community, so it can get crowded on holiday weekends like this.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog as I am writing to you from our Bahia hut, next to the pool, having an ice cold beer.
